Birthday Presents

For those of you wondering I had a great birthday!! Ryan's mom, Deidra, Stetson, Jeff and Stacia came over for dinner and brownies and ice cream on Sunday and my family came over Monday night after I worked and we had a little birthday party with brownies and ice cream again. It was really fun. Normally I wouldn't be showing off my birthday presents but I have to because of this....

My sweet husband and parents got me a Nikon L100 for my birthday so of course I had to try it out!!

Candice got me this lovely silver shoes

Karli got me this snazzy pink fishing pole and loaded me up with bait and hooks

Nanette, Bud, Stetson and Deidra got me a Kohls gift card so that I could get "skinny clothes"

And of course Stacia and Jeff bought me a kitchen. What thoughtful people I have in my life!!

Fresh Paint

For my birthday Stacia and Jeff bought me paint for my kitchen and Stacia and her friend Nikki out of the goodness of their hearts also came to help me paint. Before we could paint I had to get all the old wall paper off. I began that project on the 23rd, lots of fun.

The whole kitchen was the mint green color that you see above. So we paint 3 walls white.

Then on the 4th wall we started will a primer

And two coats of red paint later....

Tada!!

This project took up most of our day and by the end we had a somewhat neglected child.

I was so excited about how this turned out last Saturday that Ryan took me shopping yesterday to find all the rest of the stuff I wanted it to have. So we added curtains. They are red with a white stripe but the picture turned out really dark. :( Not sure why.

I have 2 gerbera daisy vases but I only took a picture of one. One is by my scentsy with only one flower and this one will stay in the middle of my table once I find a black and white table runner.

These next two pictures are my vision coming true! I loved the way this wall turned out and everything with. I planned the wall around the bowls and found everything to match and to me it just looks perfect! I'm so excited to finally claim my kitchen and my own!!

Thanks again Stacia this was a perfect present and thanks Dusty for helping hang the shelf this is exactly what I wanted!

Our 24th

Our 24th of July was very busy!! First we went to a big party with Trent and Jenny. Jenny's parents throw a big 24th of July party every year. It swas tons of fun.

They had a really great swing set that Tally LOVED!

"Raw Egg Horse Ride"
Such a funny thing to watch! The "rider" balances a raw egg on a plastic fork while the "horse" takes them to the finish line. Everytime you drop the egg the horse has to stop.

Tally won a bag of horses from the raffle. She thought they were pretty fantastic!

The jump rope contest (I took the picture right after he quit!!)

Water balloon catch. I only have a picture of the little kids because Ryan and I competed in the adult catch.

At one point in the party Tally went over to the swing set by herself and when came back she looked like this.

That may not look suspicous but when you get a closer look...

THOSE AREN'T HER SHOES!!

Tally has always been a big hit with kids. She has friends everywhere we go. Even older kids are just drawn to her.

Ryan and I competed in the washer toss and the golf ball toss. Which I didn't get pictures of because we were both playing. I did get pictures of the sack race. Ryan took 3rd.
He also competed in tug of war and arm wrestling.

The party went nearly the whole day. We had fireworks we needed to light so we decided to go we better get home on time to use them. On our way home we invited Jeff and Stacia to come watch and they brought pizza for dinner. Tally was so excited to show Uncle Jeff her horses. She knew he would love them I guess.

Trent and Jenny also showed up later but they didn't stay very long.

I turned 22 today and I wasn't going to say anything but I have to thank all of you for the birthday wishes!! I've had so many texts, call and facebook comments it's been a crazy day thanks you all so much. Even though I feel really old today you guys all made it better!

Bows and Bands

I went crazy with a new ribbon order (like I said in my other post) and I have an ice cream bucket filled with them because of it waiting to be sold. This time I have some that go with white headbands that I will sell as a set. I have lots of bows with horses on them (they were so popular last time I had some stolen) and I also decided to do some with footballs since football season starts in a month.
