Weigh in #4

I can't believe how fast Wednesdays keep coming! Or how fast Ryan keeps losing weight! This week he was afraid that he was going to have a harder time. He didn't work out as much as he would've liked, and he was tempted with high calorie, very delicous food. ;) Somehow he still managed to weigh in at 202.6 full of water! He is now technically under 200 when he's not water logged and officially weighs less than he has in nearly 4 years!

Another Monday

One more appointment down and I don't have to go back for 2 weeks! Which you probably guessed means that my blood pressure is at a good level! So glad! It's been a battle to get it reasonable, still on medication though. The doctor says I am measuring right had 27 weeks. Said I was "perfect" I made sure Ryan heard it too. ;) Tally loves to go to the appoinments to hear her baby talk to her. She never wants to leave. Baby's heartrate was at 140 today so we're still doing great. 13 weeks to go!!

I went to Vernal with my family on Saturday and found some boy clothes that I like! It's been a battle for me because everything I see that I like is girl stuff because I have a girl. Fabric, clothes, you name it I think it in girl. I'm working on it and hopefully it will get better. I find boy crib bedding so I know it's possible!

We started potty training Tally last Wednesday. Yesterday we had NO accidents! I was so proud of her. Today we've had a couple, I feel bad. I think potty training is traumatic for some kids and mine is one of them. Hopefully things will get better.

My dad's basketball team won their game on Friday and they are headed to State this Thursday! Hopefully Ryan and I will be able to make it out to watch on Friday and Saturday. GOOD LUCK LADY CATS!

Weigh in #3

Ryan's weighed in today at 206.2! He's off to great start. Still full of water of course. Last night he weighed himself and was under 200 lbs, he can't remember the last time he was under 200 lbs so whether he wins or not he is feeling great about himself and his weight right now, which is a great thing. He's found it harder to workout on his 8 days on because so much of his day is spent at work that he tends to be pretty tired when he get home and is trying to fit in time with Tally and I. Today is his last day on and then he can go back to having the day to exercise. I think he's really looking forward to that.

Our Valentines

Ryan and I gave Tally her Valentine from us on Friday night because she was leaving Saturday morning and Ryan would be at work and wouldn't see her until she got back on Monday. Lately she's been really into dishes, tea parties, and making us "lunch" so we decided to get her more food to help her cooking skills. She was so excited. We still play with them everyday. (Excuse the look of anger, that's how she smiles these days)
My dad and Ryan sent me beautiful flowers for Valentines Day this year! It was so exciting to get two deliveries!
What to get Ryan this year for Valentines was tricky. Since he's in his "Biggest Loser" contest I didn't want to get him a lot of candy or sugar that would make losing weight harder for him so I had to get creative. My sister and I came up with all sorts of puns and sayings for fruit and I hid them around the house so he got them one at a time. He seemed to really enjoy it. (He already ate the carrot and one kiwi by the time I got around to taking a picture) Any guesses to what we came up with?
Yes I did cave, the box has chocolate covered strawberries and raspberries in it. It's just not Valentines without chocolate right?

Next came all of the great gifts and treats from family
And Tally with all of her special gifts (it was so hard to get her to "smile" all she wanted was to eat that marshmallow!)
We had a great Valentine's Day. From what I hear Tally really enjoyed her weekend with her Grandparents and Ryan and I were able to paint her room and go out to dinner by ourselves. It was a nice change but we're glad to have her back!

Homemade Valentines

This year our Valentines took some planning to give because Tally was going on a trip Valentine's weekend, so we had to have them done before she left. Here are the results.

We started off by painting 6 teracotta pots. Tally LOVED the idea of painting. It was her first time and she did a great job.

After the paint had dried we added heart and swirl stickers

Then it was time to make the "flowers," or in this case hearts. I bought a mold at the store and made pink, hot pink and purple suckers.
Then we stuck them into the pots for each family

I'm pretty proud of them. I think they turned out really cute and Tally was excited to give them away.

Happy LATE Birthdays!

So I have to apologize to Stetson beacuse this is the 2nd year in a row that I have posted his birthday late! We must get busy around this time, but better late than never I guess.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY STETSON!

Happy Late Birthday to Brad as well!

We're sorry we couldn't make it up to Lehi this year to celebrate!

Weigh in #2

Today Ryan had is 2nd weigh in. Of course he drank lots of water, but he still weighed in at 213.8 so he is losing weight! Losing 5 lbs a week is Ryan's goal to be able to lose 50 lbs in 12 weeks so with 6 lbs gone he is off to a great start! We still didn't get around to taking pictures and we aren't sure of anyone else's results either. Hopefully they let us know everyone's progress so this isn't a 12 week mystery! The Biggest Loser says that Week 2 is always the hardest with any work out routine so we will see how this week goes!

New pages

My Grandma asked me to make a short scrapbook of our summer trip to the circus this year. Of course I agreed and I have to say I'm pretty proud of it. Here are some of my favorite pages!
We printed 7 books that should ship tomorrow! My family hasn't seen it yet or else I would post more. For all of you that went to the circus with us that day and haven't seen the book consider this your *teaser*. The real thing will be coming in just a few days!

I also finished Tally's "second year" book. I still can't believe she's 2 years old and right now it's so weird to be thinking about her "third year" book right now. Time goes by so fast once you have kids it's just unreal. I haven't gotten around to publishing this one yet, but I can still show you my favorites. I loved this year of her life so I will do my best to narrow it down. ;)
I guess while I'm at it I better also show off the 2 pages that I've started for my little boy.
I'm excited to keep going with his book when I get more ultrasound pictures on March 18th but for now I guess you could call those pages my favorites. ;)

I've started on Tally's "third year" book but I will wait to post those until I have more pages.

Good News!

I just got back from my doctor's appointment. I don't have to go back for 2 weeks because my blood pressure is going down! It's so nice knowing that I don't have to double the medication like he talked about doing last week AND that I get a Monday off! Everything seems fine with the baby. His heartbeat was at 153 today which the doctor says is really great. (I'm starting to wish I would've kept track of Tally's heart rate but I was always too busy concentrating on hearing it). Tally loves hearing baby's heart beat when she comes to the appointments with me. "Mom hear that? Baby's talking to you!" She is so excited!

We scheduled the 3D ultrasound today for March 18th! I'm so excited! It seems so far away but I know it's really not. I can't believe I will be 30 weeks by then! I still have so much energy and I feel like I have so much to still do.

My family went to dinner in Vernal last Saturday and we stopped by WalMart afterwards and I found the cutest onesies! Finally boy clothes that I actually like! We bought 3 of them and I'm so happy to know my son won't come home from the hospital naked now even if I find nothing else I like! ;)

Weigh in #1

Ryan started his "Biggest Loser" competition today. He's very excited and motivated to get started. His goal is to lose 50 lbs in 12 weeks. The competition started out yesterday with "The Last Supper." His company provided cookies, doughnuts and junkfood for the contestants to have one last day of eating those kind of things. We also went out for shakes last night. ;) This morning Ryan drank as much water as he could be the weigh in. (he's a cheater, I know) and weighed in at 219.2. Which just happens to be 9 lbs heavier than we he weighed himself the day before! He's really excited for this competition to start. He's agreed to have before and after pictures posted but I haven't seen him today so I will have take them and get them up.
Wish us luck!!

Too good to be true!

After having high blood pressure with Tally, I was really shocked to find out that I didn't with this baby, or so I thought. I couple weeks ago my doctor informed me that my blood pressure was high and asked to see me in a week. It turned out worse last Monday so he put me on some medication. (Something I didn't get last time. I had high blood pressure with Tally starting at week 29 and high blood pressure this time starting week 22) Today I went in and it looks like the medication is working, along with my "no salt" diet that I've given myself. I'm hoping to eventually be off the medication before my pregnancy is over. We'll see if that's really possible. It was lower today when they checked it so there is hope!

The baby is doing fine. Kicking like crazy! Ryan can feel him all the time and he loves to kick Tally when she cuddles with me. I thought Tally moved a lot, but it's nothing like this!

On a positive note: We get to schedule our 3D ultra sound in a couple weeks. Around week 28 and we are at week 24 on Thursday. I'm pretty excited! I want to see if he looks anything like Tally?!
