Quick Christmas Visit to Price

Most of you know by now that my parents surprised us Christmas morning with a weekend trip to San Diego and to Sea World. (It was fabulous I will post more later) Anyways we had already planned to spend part of Christmas day with Ryan's mom and step dad. So we braved a canyon blizzard to get there. We made it time to talk to Stetson (Ryan's brother) who's on a mission in Brazil. We exchanged gifts and then it was time for us to head to our hotel in SLC. So here's our fast Christmas trip pictures in Price. We're going back in a couple weeks to make up for it so hopefully I will get more pictures then.

This is ONE small dove piece of chocolate. Alicia this is what you have to look forward too! Girls love their chocolate and Tally is living proof!

Christmas Eve

Every year my mom's family gets together and has a Christmas Eve party together. This year it included $10 family gift exchanges, home videos, dinner, and Santa always comes and brings one present for each person to open on Christmas Eve. We had lots of fun here are some pictures.
I have pictures of Tally on Santas lap that I will need to get from my mom. Just a heads up. She didn't appreciate Santa very much. She got some fun books from him though.

It's just a flesh wound!

Here are the pictures of Tally's big fall. (A couple posts down)
Update: She's doing much better! All of her cuts are healed and now there are just little pink marks from where they used to be. No scars here!

So many of you!

Congratulations to all of you having babies! Ryan's family is expecting 3 this year. So congrats to Matt and Stacey, Kirt and Jenny and Jeff and Rosie! Then I better congratulate my 2 friends from college as well. Clark and Alicia and Shane and Brie! Yay! You will love being parents!
Congratulations to all of you! I can't believe you are all expecting at the same time. Update me occasionally!
Oh Kyle and Cindy! I better congratulate you since your announcing but not pregnant!! :)

Thanksgiving

Okay so I'm a little late, but better late then never. We spent Thanksgiving with Ryan's mom and step dad this year in Price. It was lots of fun and there was tons of food. Here are some of my favorite pictures from Thanksgiving.
Tally LOVED her Thanksgiving Dinner

Well now that their up, I guess it's pointless to say Happy Thanksgiving, but HAPPY THANKSGIVING anyway it feels weird not to say it after posting these.

Merry Christmas to all and to all......

A trip to San Diego!! That's right, my parents surprised my sisters and my family this morning with a trip to San Diego for the weekend! We leave tonight! Such a surprise I can't believe they've been keeping this secret since October! Anyway it should be tons of fun. I can't wait. Tally got some fabulous things for Christmas. Lots of toys, clothes, movies and books. Boy does she love books! Ryan got a lot of things for work. Snow boots, stop watch, warm gear etc. I got new scentsy bars, clothes and food storage because we are slacking on our supply. :) We also took a trip to Disney on Ice in November as part of Christmas. We left Roosevelt this morning at 10:00 and headed over Indian Canyon to see Ryan's mom for the day. Then we leave for SLC tonight around 5. We'll get back from CA Sunday night and Ryan's dad and step mother are coming to see us Monday and Tuesday for Christmas. Then, we will go back to Price on Ryan's next days off and spend more time with his mom since she is getting jipped with our Surprise. So it's kind of like we're having 3 Christmas's. Tally hasn't gotten very many presents this year......I hope nobody bought that because the girl is absolutely spoiled to death! Well I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas!!

Falling.......

So if you've read any of my previous posts then you know how excited I was to get Tally up and walking! She's too heavy to carry around anymore, I needed some freedom. :) I was so excited when she started! Probably a week ago she started getting really good at it and now she walks everywhere she can. No one told me that the problem with having your child start walking is that you have to watch them fall over and OVER! Tally trips over her feet alot making it horrible to watch because most of the times she ends up hitting her head. My mom says this is just an awful stage that kids go through trying out their new trick but man do I hate it! I hope she gets over this falling stage soon. Her mom can't take it!

The Big Fall
Normally I wouldn't flaunt this story but it's Christmas and too many people are going to see her for me to not "come clean!"
So last Tuesday Ryan, Tally and I were all downstairs. Ryan and I were golfing on the Wii has we'd done for the last couple nights or so. (P.S. Ryan would like it to be known that his fitness age is now 28) Tally has a new found love of sitting on the couch like a big girl. She's very good at getting up and sliding down backwards, which is the right way.
So Tally was on the couch and there were some plastic tongs in the window sill. (Ryan's step mother Carol had left them from a birthday dinner we had for Tally and they are coming after Christmas for a few days so they were out to remind us to give them to her) Thought I would clear up the rumor that we keep tongs in our window sill. :) So Tally got them, and she was sitting on the couch playing with them. Ryan and I both knew she had them (which makes this whole story worse). This time because her hands were full Tally tried to get off the couch front ways. As she fell off the couch the tongs grabbed her nose and forehead, and the side on her forehead then made it's way down her cheek. Needless to say she was cut pretty bad nose, forehead and cheek. She was bleeding and looked a mess. Ryan grabbed a wash rag and some water and we cleaned her up and added Neosporin but her "ouchies" still looked horrible.
After four days now Tally is looking much better. Her cuts are still there and still noticeable but they are healing very fast.
*sigh* It feels good to come clean. For a while I've been trying to get away with just saying "she fell of the couch" when people asked about her face, but some out spoken people began to pry "is your couch made of nails" "do you have concrete floors in your basement." So there's the truth. No nails, no concrete. Just a 13 month old girl trying to get off the couch while battling plastic tongs.

SURVIVOR Results!!

So many of you I'm sure stayed glued to the television last night and watched Bob kick trash! Not only did he win 1,000,000 dollars which would've been good enough for me but he also won another 100,000 just for being that cool. Anyway it was a fabulous result show. Scary at times and SO entertaining. I'm so glad it ended the way it did!
GO BOB!

Addictions and Body Aches

So Ryan and I stole the Wii from my parents' house yesterday. (P.S. Mom can we borrow the Wii?) Anyway we were playing sports. Ryan is addicted to golf! We probably played 3 games of 9 holes before I talked him into boxing against me. (He just didn't want to lose) :) Anyway we played a couple matches and he insisted on golf and the fitness test. By the way, Ryan has the fitness age a a 76 year old. Probably because all he wants to do it golf. So I got sick of golf and decided to box the Wii player. I played a couple matches and then we golfed some more. This is getting to be very repiticious. If you haven't guess Golf is the "addiction" now on to the "Body Aches." This morning I work up and I couldn't move from my waist to my neck! It was so funny. I didn't feel bad even though it hurt horribly because it means I got some good exercise right?......I hope. Okay so needless to say we had tons of fun and we're still playing today so I must not be hurting too bad!

New Things

Tally has been learning so fast!! She's been learning sign language SO quickly! I can finally tell what she wants some days. She can do dog, more, eat and drink. It's so cute. She can also gobble like a turkey. SO FUNNY!

She can also do these:
Where's your nose?

Pat-a-cake pat-a-cake

Baker's man back me a cake as fast as you can, roll it, pat it, and mark it with a "T" and
Toss it in the oven for Tally and me

This is the church this is the steeple, open the doors and see all the people. Close the doors and let them pray, open the doors and they all run away.

First Steps!

So Tally has been walking really great these last couple days. She can pull herself onto the couch and one time even got into the bathtub so she could play with her toys. I bet in a couple more days she will be a pro at walking. She's so close to having it! Linoleum and wood floors give her a touch time. But she's so fun to watch!

Lucky 7

Just thought I would let everyone know that Tally has SEVEN teeth! 3 on top in the front and 3 on the bottom front. So her mouth is lop-sided. :) She also for some reason decided she needed a stinkin molar! Bring on the steak! This time she cut the molar and the 3rd bottom tooth within a week of eachother so we didn't have the greatest teething expirience. She's doing fine now though.

Bliss, Laughter and Voice Male

So Ryan and I recently got to see Voice Male in concert. They came to Roosevelt as a Fund Raiser. My parent's watched Tally for the night so Ryan and I enjoyed Voice Mail with no interuptions. (Bliss) Voice Male was absolutely hilarious and left us laughing all night long. I swear the one had ADHD! But that's okay they were very entertaining. I would recommend them to anyone who gets the chance to see them.
