And then there were FOUR!

That's right! Jakob Ryan Kunz was born May 18th at 7:54 pm. Weighing in at 7 lbs 10 oz and 19 1/2 in long. If any of you are surprised by this you are not the only ones. We did not plan to have our baby that day. I went in for my appointment the morning of the 18th absolutely miserable. Most of you know that I had been having horrible problems with my hips, pelvis and lower back for the last couple months. It was hard to move at all and the only cure was having a baby. I was determined to let him come on his own since my last induced labor was so horrible. However, when we walked into the appointment and my Dr saw me he tempted me with "Do you just want to have this baby today?" I said yes without even thinking and headed for the hospital admitting my husband informing our parents and family on the way. Needless to say this labor was much easier than my last. They broke my water at 10, started pitocin at 12 and I had him before 8 that night. Completely shocking my family! :) The labor was very easy. I was finally given a narcotic when I was dilated to an 8 and I had Jake in less than an hour from then. I told Ryan that I almost felt guilty because it was so easy. I felt so good, I was ready to go home that night but of course they wanted the baby there until Thursday.

It's been a little over a week since Jake was born and things are pretty crazy! We are so excited to have him, now we just have to find a system to take care of 2 kids. Especially when Ryan is at work, things get pretty insane around this house until he gets home.

As for all of you wondering if I got over my boy phobia...

Finally Outside

Since Ryan got off of work on Thursday we have spent the majority of our days outside. We went and bought flowers (my Mother's Day present from Ryan and Tally), bark, edging and pots. We haven't completely finished the yard, but what we have done we really like. Hopefully we can get more done before Ryan goes back to work Wednesday, unless we have a baby of course. ;)

Tally was very willing to help water the flowers
Kids in the neighborhood apparently decided Ryan needed a lot of help planting the snap dragons.

38 weeks!

My 38 week appointment was on Thursday. Unfortunately, I have made no more real progress than I did last appointment. I'm still at a 2+. It's very frustrating. I even fell down the stairs the day before and then walked the museum and nothing happened. The doctor offered to schedule an induction, I would prefer to go into labor on my own this time after my awful experience with being induced last time, but we will see how desperate I get. I'm getting more and more miserable, the pain in the my joints is growing and I can no longer bend over. On the positive side, less than 2 weeks left, I'm so ready for this little guy to come so we can get out of the "waiting phase" of our lives. I feel like we are just standing around waiting for him to come so we can move on with our lives. Limbo is a weird place to be.

Dinosaur Museum

Last Wednesday Tally and I went to the Dinosaur Museum in Vernal with my Aunt and her kids while Ryan was as work. Tally had a great time playing with her cousins and looking at all of the "disonaurs." Here are the pictures I was able to get with my phone, I forgot my camera...

More Training..

Friday and Saturday before Mother's Day were spent in Price while Ryan trained for his "Firefighter Survival." Basically firefighters have taken scenarios of different times when firefighters have died and figured out a way to save their lives. Ryan got a passing certificate and enjoyed the expirience a lot.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all of my friends and family who are moms! Especially, Nanette, Carol and my mom, Leslie! Thanks so much for all you do!

May 3rd Appt

There's not much need for an update at this point except that I'm dilated to a "good 2" which made me happy to hear that there was some progress at 36 1/2 weeks. Baby still looks good and we are getting more and more excited everyday.
