The Biggest Loser

Ryan has decided to enter a "Biggest Loser" contest at work. It starts on February 3rd and goes until April 28th. The prize is $500 and an extra vacation day, so VERY worth his time! He's pretty excited to get started! I think I'm going to post his progress so everyone knows how it's going. Hopefully he wins!! I might be able to talk him into before and after pictures as well. Wish him luck!!

Another first

Tally had her first haircut on Friday! It was finally to the point of "unruly" and it was driving me crazy! Our conversation:

Me: "Tally do you want to go get your haircut?"
Tally: "no cut it"
Me: "It will make you look very pretty"
Tally: "I'm already pretty!"

After that we waited a little while and Ryan tried. His conversation went like this:

Ryan: "Tally, should we go get your haircut?"
Tally: "no cut it"
Ryan: "It will make you look very pretty"
Tally: "no want to be pretty anymore!!"

We decided to do it anyway. We were in Lehi so we got it cut and Cookie Cutters. They had a tv and Tally got to pick out a Dora movie and drive a pink truck. She never cried or whined, in fact, she barely moved the whole time! She won't even let me put a clip in her hair!

After her haircut they gave her a balloon and a sucker. She was thrilled. Now she tells everyone "I gotta haircut!"

Once there was a Snowman tall tall tall!!

Tally has been talking about building a snowman since her Aunt Candice gave her a snowman kit for Christmas, but the snow has never been "good snowman snow" so we had to keep putting it off and hope that eventually this winter we would get the perfect snowman snow. Last night we got it! Ryan got home from work and he and Tally got busy building! She was so happy to be out there in the snow helping her dad. She helped him roll the head and put it on top and then put the hat, face and buttons on. She really loves her snowman. Everytime we leave or she sees it she has to talk to it or say good bye. It will be a sad day with the snowman gets "small small small"

Yum Brownies!

Ever since Tally was given her princess apron and brownie mix from Grandma and Grandpa Wilstead she has been begging us to make them! Tuesday we got that chance and she was SO excited. She helped crack the eggs, add the water and oil, stir, pour and eat them!

Diaper Cakes

My newest hobbie has been making diaper cakes! I had the chance to make 2 last week and they are so much fun. The first one is for my new cousin that was born last Thursday. Maddie Lynn! They didn't know what they were having so my mom and I chose teal and orange so that the cake would be perfect either way. I love the way it turned out!
This is Madie!
The second one I made was for my best friend from high school. She is having a girl in February and her baby shower was last Saturday. I went with the classic pink to match the invitation.
I love making these and I hope I get a lot more chances!

Another appoinment update!

Let me just tell you about that heart rate trick being able to tell the gender of your baby...if I had decided to predict a boy or a girl Monday it would've been right. His heart rate was 140 just like that theory predicts boys to be! He's all over the place though because he never stops moving! Already at not even 22 weeks he is keeping me awake at night and tickling me during the day. Even at 38 weeks with Tally she never kept me up, so this a whole new thing for me. The doctor is worried about my blood pressure. Apparently it is getting high like it did with Tally, (the reason I was induced 2 weeks early) I'm hoping to get it under control now instead of suffering consequences later. So more exercise and fruits and vegetables for me I guess! Other than my blood pressure the doctor says everything is looking and sounding great. I still have more energy than any pregnant woman should ever have. (Today I took clorox wipes to my vents) My pregnancy is going pretty fast because of it though. :)

Boy oh Boy!

Ryan and I went to an ultra sound on Thursday. The baby looks great and everything seems to be fine. Heart beat was 153 and we are within 9 days of my due date. The tech was beginning to get frustrated because the baby wouldn't stop moving and she couldn't get her measurements. It makes me a little worried that the baby was moving that much at 9:00 in the morning! :) The only surprise was that baby is a boy! Ryan says that for him it wasn't a shock, but I couldn't believe it! I'm 1 of 3 girls so a boy to me is completely foriegn. I was terrified at first, but in these last couple days I've become really excited! Tally is so excited to be a big sister. Last night we went shopping and she was telling everyone that she was going to have a little brother. She's very excited to be a big helper. Here are some pictures we were able to get off the dvd.

My favorite pictures of 2009

I can't believe I'm already doing this again! I feel like I was just barely going through 2008 and finding my favorites! I will try not to caption all of these. :)

This one of Valentines I love just because you can see a little, tiny, ponytail sticking up. She fianlly had hair!

I love this one because of how patient Ryan is being with Tally as she combs his hair and puts on his make up.

This was Easter and she was too busy eating her candy that she couldn't smile.

I know I look wierd but this is Tally's first time on a horse.

She was so proud of this car! I think it ended up taking 4th.

She figured out to make silly faces into the camera instead of just smiling. My pictures have never been the same since! ;)

First time she slept in a big girl bed by herself.

She has hair! Real hair!

First playdate

Putting on "lips"

Love at first sight! I had no idea how inseperable they would become. Also the first toy she named. "Hannah" from a trip she took to Thanksgiving Point with Grandma and Grandpa Wilstead, Deidra and Mom.

First time playing in the snow.

Looking back on these pictures I can't believe how much Tally has grown! We have had some fun times this year. Here's hoping 2010 is just as fun!
Happy New Year to all!
