Family Reunion #1

Our first family reunion for the year was at This is the Place Heritage Park in SLC. Ryan was working and unable to go, so Tally and I went with my Aunt Shelly and her 2 kids. We had alot of fun. I had never been to the park before so I didn't know what to expect.
Riding the train around the park
There's a winner of a picture for you right there! (I know you're all jealous!)

They had a petting zoo there. Now when I think petting zo I think of animals in cages and you pet them through the fence. SO not the case! You were let in to a little corral and you just walk amongst sheep and goats and ducks! Of course there were caged animals too. Bunnies, goats, donkeys, cows, ox, llamas and peacocks, but this was just too cool.

And then there was Honey.....

Petting Honey

Not sure if riding Honey is a good idea

She did so great! We actually went back and rode Honey again later in the day!

They also have this great place for little kids. With small houses, a teepee and a wooden train.

There were so many things to do, but with the age of kids we had with us it was mostly animals. They also had crafts like rag dolls and arrow head necklaces. You can learn about the history of the park as well as Brigham Young and the Pioneers and you can also get old time photographs taken and from what I hear they're only $5 a piece.
