Party for the USA!

Monday we celebrated the 4th of July by going to a program at the park and then seeing the fireworks afterward.
First we had to get in warm clothes because it was super stormy and even rained a little! (yes, in July!)
The kids and I at the park waiting for the program to start.

I can never get Tally just smiling. Luckily my mom got one that I'm going to have to steal!

Are you loving Jake's hair in the corner? :)

Tally danced around us most of the night. She loved all of the music.
Tally and Aunt Karli watching the fireworks
She switched to Aunt Candice for the rest of the show.
Jake and I. He was so cute. During the fireworks he was saying "ooh" and "awww" so funny!
Ryan and some of the other firefighters we the one's to light the fireworks this year. My mom has a firework setting on her camera and she got a picture of the fireworks so we could prove Ryan was there. :)

FIREWORKS!

We lit our own fireworks Sunday evening because Ryan is lighting fireworks for the city tonight. We didn't have a lot but our kids loved what we did have.

This was Tally's first year that she dared use sparklers.

 2 at a time! :)

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO EVERYONE!

4th of July Weekend

Yesterday the kids and I got up early in the morning and headed to the 4th of July parade in Neola. Tally finally caught on to the candy thing this and there was no stopping her!

Summer Vacation

On July 2nd Tally, Jake and I left for Nauvoo, Illinois. I was a little nervous to tackle the first few days of vacation by myself with 2 kids but my family was so much help that it made it very easy. Ryan flew into Kansas City and met up with us in Independence on July 4th, just in time to join us at Liberty Jail. How fitting that we spent Independence day in Independance, Missouri at Liberty Jail right?

We stopped every couple of hours to let all the kids get out and run around. Did I mention there were 21 of us? (22 once Ryan got there)
