Ladies and Gentlemen for the third year in a row...

The Zoo
I'm thinking this may become an annual post. Last weekend Ryan and I took Tally to the zoo and met Nanette, Bud and Deidra there. At first we planned on driving up that morning, but the more I got to thinking about it, the more I didn't want to be LEAVING by 7:00. We ended up making a last minute trip to SLC Sunday night.

I've never seen the animals so lively at the zoo. Bears were moving and swimming and wrestling. Cheetahs were pacing.. anyway... it was great. I do have a problem with Asian Highlands. Almost everyone of the cats there are nocturnal, so why have them in a zoo that closes at 6:00?
Ryan and I bought tickets to go on their new carousel. When we saw that Tally was free we decided to be sneaky. I took Tally on the carousel and Ryan got in line and took Tally on it again, so she got to go twice. (I think she appreciated it) We also went to the Bird Show. I've been 3 years in a row now and I love it. We also went on the train. I think if kids didn't like the idea of riding on a train so much then they wouldn't have it because it is a very boring, short, ride. Tally really enjoyed the play area of the zoo. We stayed their for a long time and she got to feed the birds! After we had seen all the animals we took Tally to the gift shop. She LOVED the monkeys so everything she saw in the shop that was a monkey she thought she HAD to have. We finally settled for a monkey backpack which I'm hoping she will use for a long time.

Water Park and Humanitarian Center

So for the last month or so my family has been making little blankets that hang above cribs for orphans. They are really cute. Anyway I think we competed like 51! On July 8th we all went to the SLC Distribution Center to donate these wall hangings and then take a tour of the center. After that we went to a water park in Kearns. It was a pretty fun day. I didn't even get sunburned! :) Tally loved the water. She splashed anyone that came near us. My sisters were insane and jumping off this crazy way high high dive. We have some great pictures of them. haha
