Busy weekend - Lehi

Thursday night (after Karate class) we left our home and headed for Lehi to see Ryan's dad and grandparents. We brought our Wii with us for all to play. (We recently got Mario kart, that game entertains me for hours :) ) Ryan's dad and even his grandma played with us. We also attracted some of Ryan's cousins like magnets to the house while we were there so they could play.

Friday morning we all headed down to the park with Dani and Abbi. They all had so much fun. Abbi was such a great helper to Tally. She showed Tally how to go down the slide by herself and it was nice for Tally to have someone to play with. She loved the swings. Ryan was giving everyone "under dogs" even kids on the swings he didn't know after they begged him.

After the park we went to the mall. Tally found herself a Dora purse that she absolutely loves! She also got to ride in a car. What a spoiled child I have.

Saturday we took Ryan's dad to the Mount Timpanogos temple, or as I like to call it, "my temple." After lunch at Wendy's we packed up and quickly headed for home.

Ryan and I have decided to sell our first car (the black Jetta) and hopefully, eventually get a truck. It would be so nice to be able to carry things and pack things. Trucks have great uses. So today is the official day that we put the Jetta on KSL. Hopefully we will hear from people soon!

Bow Crazy

I recently got a check from the Pink Shop where a sell my bows and I purchased more ribbon! I just got the order today and I was SO excited to get started. I still need to fray check the edges of the bows but they look good enough for pictures!

Lucky 7

Last night our family went to see 7 Brides for 7 Brothers in an outdoor theatre in Vernal. It was lots of fun. My family as always as a slightly large obsession with the movie/musical and last night I think everybody figured that out. We sang all the songs and quoted the movie. Some around us seemed a little annoyed, but others just laughed and teased us. I wasn't allowed to take pictures of the musical, so pictures of my family will have to be enough.

For anyone who hasn't seen 7 Brides for 7 Brothers I suggest watching it as soon as possible. Everyone needs a little culture right?

Believe it or not it's been a year since I started this blog! Tally was 8 months old and I was 20. It seems like so long ago. I'm about to turn 22 so blogging only a year seems weird. I've posted 143 times (144 counting this one) which means in one year you have all seen over 1/3 of my life! I hope you're enjoying our journey because I am having a blast. Blogging has been a great thing for me. It's probably the closest thing to a journal that I will ever have, I get to keep in touch with friends and family from all over PLUS I'm backing up all my pictures in case my computer crashes. ;) I figure since it's been a year it's time for another update.

Ryan still works in the oilfield where is still gets his fabulous 8 days on 6 days off schedule. We love to play on his days off. He recently got a new partner at work when his other partner moved out of state. Ryan recently started a karate class and currently has 7 students. He is loving the chance to teach people something he loves. He is also the Sunday School President of our ward. He has recently taken a liking to gardening and yard work. Mostly he works on the grass. One day he dreams it to be perfect, I can't wait for that day.

Tally is growing up so so fast! She can say so many words and you can understand her so well. She still loves to dance and sing. Recently her favorite songs are 5 Little Monkeys (SNAP!), 3 Little Ducks, Popcorn Popping, Pat A Cake, and Itsy Bitsy Spider. She sings other ones but only she knows what she's saying so mom can't sing them with her. She also loves to brush her teeth and brushes them at least once a day. (She gets to put a sticker on her Dora chart when she does) Speaking of stickers, she has taken a liking to any kind of sticker she can find! The more you can put on her body the better! Tally also loves to color. She colors with crayons, pens and pencils and sidewalk chalk and she's always bringing beautiful pictures home from Nursery. Recently she has taken a liking to "baby" her cabbage patch. She feeds her a bottle, wraps her in a blanket (Usually a towel) and shares all her secrets with her. It's so fun to watch. I am currently Wii, reality show, blogging and farm town (on facebook) addicted. It's a good thing I have work so I can play. :) I'm still making and selling bows and loving it. I still stay at home most of the time and hang out with Tally and try to keep my house clean, which is proving to not be an easy job and Tally gets older. I am still the Second Counselor in the Primary and love the calling.

Tonight we will be going to a play in Vernal. I will post pictures and let you all know how it was.

Our Fourth

Our 4th of July was great. It started out with a parade at 9:30 in the morning. Tally loved the candy and the horses, but she HATED getting wet. She did not think that that was fun at all.

Waiting for the Parade to start After that Tally and I had to hurry home and make cupcakes for a BBQ we were going too. Ryan ended up getting off work early so he could go to! The BBQ started at 5 and was in Vernal. It was lots of fun. They fed us Navajo Tacos with the most fabulous scones I have EVER tasted! They were so yummy!

After the BBQ my friend Jenny called and wanted to go up to the park to watch the fireworks. So we hurried back home so we could go with her.

Tally did a great job with the fireworks. Some of them were really loud and got her a little worried but she did great and really loved to see all the colors.
