Halloween: Toy Story Style!

Most families have their children carve the pumpkins..we do not. We tell our dad what we want and he's amazing enough to do it. First he draws the picture himself by hand, then he makes it "pumpkiney" as he likes to call it. Finally, he traces the picture onto the pumpkin and carves it out.

We took the kids and their cousin Maddie to a Halloween Carnival our local grocery stores put on every year. We had a fun time!

A month of WINNING!

Tally won our community's coloring contest this year! She won an entire apple pie from a local business and the newspapers Grand Prize, a $50 gift card to ACE! She's one happy girl!

Tally's Preschool Halloween Party

Tally's preschool put on a Halloween concert and party for the parents. They sang songs and fed us "eyeballs!"

Even though Ryan has moved to a different department at work, he was voted to compete in the pumpkin carving contest again this year. (Probably because it won it last year :) )

The Princess and the Frog

For Halloween dinner this year we had Mummys and Ghosts (sadly we had some  ghost casualties :) )

 The year Tally wanted to be "Princess Frog." Most know her as "Tianna"

A Princess is nothing without her frog prince!

We had lots of fun Trick or Treating this year but unfortunately our trip was cut short due to rain and wind.

And the winner is....

Ryan!!

Ryan competed in his work's pumpkin carving contest for his department. Besides the lovely gift basket you see above he also won a pizza party for his department!

I know his pumpkin may not look like much of anything in this picture but it was hand drawn and took nearly 5 hours to complete,

Haunted House

We bought a Haunted House kit on our last shopping trip. We are slackers when it comes to Family Night, I will be the first to admit that so, I thought this would be an easy one. Tally just wanted to eat the candy so Ryan and I ended up doing most of it. She did help with the frosting though.
